Help Palestinian Women

THE One Theatres across the Middle East are proud to bring you funky Wrist Wraps that have been lovingly hand-embroidered by Palestinian women in the Kalandia Refugee Camp on the outskirts of Jerusalem
.

A modern take on traditional craftsmanship, these colourful Wrist Wraps are not just super cool accessories. They are symbols of the hope that comes from opportunity and the preservation of Palestinian heritage.

Each Wrist Wrap takes an average of one and a half days to embroider and features intricate patterns, which represent abstract images of natural objects such as leaves, flowers and palm trees. While every geographical area in Palestine has its own pattern of embroidery the Wrist Wraps sold at THE One represent the Ramallah, Hebron, Beir El-Sabe' and Beit Lahem areas.

By buying a Wrist Wrap from THE One, you will be supporting the Kalandia Camp Women’s Handicraft Cooperative - a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that aims to raise the educational, social, cultural, health and economic standards of women and children in Palestine.

So choose your favourite Wrist Wrap and join THE One in Changing the World Together, one accessory at a time. Find out more at www.qalandia.org

On THE One:

Invented by Thomas Lundgren, THE One Total Home Experience opened its first store in Abu Dhabi in 1996. Today the brand is present in five countries across the Middle East. But THE One doesn't believe the world needs another retailer; they believe we need a better world. That’s why, intent on being THE [responsible] One, the company aims to be both magical and meaningful: inspiring their fans with seasonal Home Fashion Collections that are ‘Always Different, Always Limited and Never Expensive’ while Changing the World Together. To this end, THE One supports a number of local and international charities and takes every opportunity to employ physically and mentally challenged individuals. You can find THE One Theatres in Bahrain (Manama), Jordan
(Amman), Kuwait
(Kuwait City), Qatar (Doha) and the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah).
