Abudhabi VISA information

Visa is the biggest requirement for travel to Abu Dhabi. For entry into Abu Dhabi, you should have a United Arab Emirates visa. The main requirement for obtaining this visa is that your passport should be valid for at least two months before your arrival. The Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD), a part of the Ministry of Interior of the UAE is the only visa issuing authority in this country. Most of the visit visas can be obtained from the Dubai International Airport and the Abu Dhabi International Airport. The visas issued here are applicable to all regions in the UAE.
A Visit Visa is meant for tourists who wish to spend more than two weeks in Abu Dhabi. Issuance of visa depends on the tourist's country.Citizens of AGCC (Arab Gulf Cooperation Council) countries do not require a visa for entry into the UAE. Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia are member states of AGCC. AGCC expatriate residents can get a renewable 30-day visit visa upon their arrival in the UAE.
The UAE has given visa-related privileges to certain countries, namely France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Luxembourg, Malta, Spain, Monaco, Vatican City, Iceland, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Cyprus, Finland, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Brunei, Singapore, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
Residents and citizens of these countries can get a free visa on arrival. Valid for 60 days, this visa can be renewed for an additional 30 days on the payment of a minimal fee.
Transit visas are also issued in Abu Dhabi.which are meant for travelers who have valid tickets for onward flights from the city's airports. This visa is generally issued free of cost and is valid for 96 hours.
